Multiple NFT Projects Attacked After Mee6 Discord Bot Hacked

Several NFT projects were attacked after the Mee6 Discord bot was hacked. The attacker sent messages to users on behalf of the creator of the game Axie Infinity The attacker hacked the popular Discord bot Mee6 and sent fraudulent messages to Discord on behalf of one of the creators of the NFT game Axie Infinity. The Web3 CyberConnect infrastructure was also compromised by the Mee6 bot, which sent users links to malware. The cybercriminal sent out fraudulent messages on behalf of one of the co-founders of the game Axie Infinity about the possibility of minting (minting) NFTs. The developers have already removed the fake messages and the compromised bot, and have also advised users to restart the bot to avoid further malicious messages. If a cybercriminal hacks into the bot and truthfully composes a scam message, then users will believe the scammer and become victims of phishing or malware.
