Yanlouwang ransomware group adds Cisco on there victim list

Cisco today confirmed in web postings the occurrence in May of an incident involving a blocked ransomware attack on its networks. On its security hub, the company published a statement titled "Cisco event response: corporate network security incident"; at the same time, the Talos division published a report detailing the matter titled "Cisco Talos shares insights related to recent cyberattack on Cisco".

The issue also surfaced on Twitter, where the profile @Gi7w0rm reported the attack and assumed authorship by a group called Yanluowang, which reportedly stole 2.8GB of data from a computer it managed to contaminate.
