Cyberattack on the Polish Mother's Health Center

On 9 November 2022, the Polish Brand Health Centre Institute in Lodz announced that it had suffered a ransomware attack from the LockBit 3.0 group. It seems that the data on the institute's virtual marketplaces and BACKUP server has been fully encrypted. The institute stated that it immediately informed the Office for Personal Data Protection, the Central Office for Combating Cybercrime, the Internal Security Agency and the Provincial Crisis Management Centre, in addition to its own investigation. Apart from the encryption, no data leakage would have been detected, but if some had been exfiltrated this would imply the loss of confidentiality of personal data, protected by professional secrecy, the loss of personal data entrusted to the Institute.
