Italian Lubrimetal and Sabena Engineering cyber attack by LockBit

According to a report dated 14 March 2023, the LockBit 3.0 ransomware group has claimed responsibility for two attacks against European entities.   

The first is the Italian company Lubrimetal, whose data was stolen and will be released, according to LockBit, on 28 March 2023. It has not been publicly disclosed what the data was, what the ransom rate was or whether any servers were encrypted.  

The second victim is abena Engineering, a Belgian industrial company whose data was stolen and will be published, according to LockBit, on 17 March 2023. The nature of the data, the ransom amount and whether any servers were encrypted have not been made public.
