New Zaraza Bot Credential-Stealer Sold on Telegram Targeting 38 Web Browsers

According to a report dated April 17, 2023, the emergence of a new malware called Zaraza bot, which is offered for sale on a popular Russian hacking channel on Telegram, has been noted. 

The bot targets a wide range of web browsers and is designed to steal sensitive data, which is then sent to a Telegram server where attackers can access it immediately. The bot can target up to 38 different web browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and others. Additionally, it can take screenshots of the active window. The stolen credentials can be used for unauthorized access to victims' accounts, identity theft, and financial fraud. Uptycs discovered that the bot is offered as a commercial tool for other cybercriminals for a subscription fee.
