Cyber incident on Egelsbach city

A cyber attack has hit the German town of Egelsbach. The e-mail address of a user on the municipality's network was hacked. Once the intrusion was detected, the network was completely disconnected from the IT service provider Ekom21. Thanks to the intervention of a cyber security team, it seems that the attack and the network intrusion failed. The municipality's administration is now working to bring the municipal network services back online.
