The fake Toyota France web address is a fraud scam

According to a report dated June 7, 2023, a new online scam is using a fake web address, mytoyota.co.uk, to trick Internet users into taking their computer screens hostage.

The scammer exploits this recently registered address to redirect users to a fake technical service claiming that a virus has been detected on their computer. The screen flashes alarmingly and false antivirus alerts signal numerous problems.

A telephone number is also provided for supposedly fast and efficient assistance, but this should not be called. If this page appears on your screen, simply close it and clear your devices' cache to prevent it from reappearing. It's important to remain vigilant in the face of such scams, and not to provide personal or financial information to crooks.
