Cybercrime: Conti ransomware group disbands and reinvents itself

According to information from security researchers, the "Conti" brand is to disappear while the members reorganize themselves. The end of Conti was actually already in evidence at the beginning of the year. This increased the visibility and the possibilities to take action against the gang enormously. According to AdvIntel, other Conti members are joining other RaaS groups such as BlackCat, HIVE, HelloKitty/FiveHands and AvosLocker and using their encryption software. In themeantime, the conversion has largely been completed; the internal infrastructure for chats, handling of negotiations and payments and so on is already shut down.
