Tata energy company attacked by Hive ransomware

On 25 October, the ransomware group Hive claimed responsibility for a cyber attack that took place on 14 October against the Indian energy supplier Tata Power. The ransom negotiation failed, so the cybercriminal group revealed the stolen data. The data could include personal data of Tata Power employees, ID card numbers, tax account numbers, salary information, but also technical drawings, financial and banking records and customer information.
